Freight Options
- Courier
- Nursery Freighter
- Australia Post
COURIER
This method is by-far the easiest option. We use a door to door carrier. Freight between all east coast cities (including Adelaide) is generally less than $25 per box. If you live close to the "main drag" then price is cheaper. Please ask us. There is no minimum order size. The courier option usually only takes 2 days at the most to receive goods. We state for the courier to leave the parcel at your front door or within your front gate. Height restrictions do apply being a maximum of 60cm however most over-sized specimens can be squeezed in.
NURSERY FREIGHT
We use nursery freighters when sending larger plants. There is a 3-5 tray minimum and freight is usually approximately $10-$25 per carry tray, however depends on distance.
AUSTRALIA POST
We use Australia Post for small orders such as poster tube (bare-rooted specimens) and when sending seeds or cuttings.
Box sizes and volume
There is a set $5 handling fee per order and freight boxes or trays are charged at cost.
On average 1 box can allow for 30 plants of various sized pots (2", Super-tubes, 6" & 8" pots etc). The greatest restriction is weight, however this is rarely a problem. For example a box can hold 48 x Supertubes, 12 x 6" pots and 6 x 8" pots.
Having your plants freighted by courier door-to-door is extremely simple compared to spending the time and fuel to visit a nursery. On average the freight adds an extra $1.50 per plant.
When selecting stock for customers, we always take great care. It is our policy that in the event of misfortune attributed to us, we will always offer a full refund or a credit on your next purchase.
Misfortune can occur in the form of the courier mishandling the boxes or a possible occurrence of poor stock. We can clearly state that just once we credited a client with free freight on their next order due courier mishandling, however our stock has always been exceptional.
